For over 25 years, Animal Behavior College has been providing students a path toward a rewarding career working with animals. We offer animal career training programs in dog obedience training, veterinary assisting, pet grooming, cat training, aquarium maintenance, zookeeper assisting, and service dog training — all of which can be done in the comfort and safety of your own home. The flexibility, tuition and fun animal interactions are just a few reasons why our students choose us.
Veterinary Assistant Program
Animal Behavior College’s Veterinary Assistant Program is designed to prepare you for a career helping sick and injured animals in a veterinary clinic setting. When you enroll, you learn everything from surgical preparation to small animal nursing. After successful completion of the prior stages, you’ll then be placed in a veterinary environment to complete your externship. During your externship, you’ll be given the opportunity to interact with professionals in the veterinary industry so you will be ready to start your career.
Cat Trainer Program
Are you a cat lover? Learn the skills necessary to make a difference in the lives of people and the cats they love. Become an ABC Certified Cat Trainer, (ABCCT), and begin changing lives. This comprehensive program will teach you how to address and prevent unwanted behaviors, such as litter box challenges, scratching furniture, spraying, counter surfing, etc. The curriculum also covers how to properly raise and socialize a kitten to prevent many undesirable behaviors from ever happening. This preventative approach outlined in the curriculum will help cats stay in their forever homes. Be the first in your area to become an ABC Certified Cat Trainer and help cat owners correct problem feline behaviors!
Zookeeper Assistant Program
Animal Behavior College’s Zookeeper Assistant Program will introduce you to the duties of those working in a zoo and the science of exotic animal care, animal behavior, conservation, and much more. Zookeeper assistants generally perform a variety of animal-care-related tasks such as cleaning, feeding, watering, exercising and/or training the animals under the direct supervision of one or more higher-ranking zookeepers. Experience and education as a zookeeper assistant can be your first step toward becoming a zookeeper or zoologist.
Dog Trainer Program
Do you love dogs? As an ABC Certified Dog Trainer (ABCDT), you will possess the skills necessary to make a difference in the lives of people and dogs you work with. Train dogs, make a difference in dogs’ lives and get paid doing what you love. Certified dog trainers can start their own dog training business, work for an established dog training company, or work in an animal shelter or pet store. Since a well-trained dog may remain with one family their entire life, the human-animal bond has the opportunity to flourish. Become an ABC Certified Dog Trainer and help keep dogs in “forever homes” while creating a loving family environment for everyone. If you’re interested in becoming a dog trainer, let Animal Behavior College help you.
